Coming from Salzburg it’s about 60 minutes to Bad Gastein:
Tauernautobahn in direction of Villach untill Bischofshofen. Exit Gasteinertal, Bundesstrasse 311 untill Lend, Exit Gasteinertal, Bundesstraße 167 untill Bad Gastein.
Coming from Innsbruck it’s a two hour drive:
Autobahn in direction of Wörgl, from Wörgl Bundesstraße 312 via St.Johann/Tirol untill Lofer, from Lofer Bundesstr. 311 via Zell am See untill Lend, from Lend Bundesstr. 167 untill Bad Gastein or Autobahn - Kufstein - Salzburg – see above from Salzburg
If you come from the South you go to Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach untill Mallnitz. In Mallnitz you take the cartrain direct into the Gasteiner Valley. The train takes you and your car through a tunnel into the Gasteiner Valley in about 12 minutes.
